The Catholic Church has this morning addressed
the media on the pope’s visit at a press briefing
at Nsambya Catholic Secretariat.
Apostolic Nuncio to Uganda, H.E Micheal Blume
reveals Pope Francis will on Wed 25th November
visit Nairobi, Kenya.
On 27th-29th he will be in Uganda. Pope Francis
will touch down on Uganda soil at 4:30 on 27th
November 2015 at Entebbe International airport
where a welcome ceremony will take place.
At 5:30 he will pay a courtesy visit to the
president at sate House. At 6pm meet with
authorities and diplomatic corps, visit Munyonyo
and greet the catechists, teachers and others.
On Saturday; he will visit the Anglican Shrine in
Namogongo, then hold mass at the Catholic
shrine, meet the youth at Kololo air strip, visit
the Charity home of Nalukolongo, meet the
catholic bishops at Lubaga, meet with priests,
religious men and women and seminarians at
Lubaga. On Sunday at 8am, he will depart from
Apostolic Nunciature, at 9am there will be a
farewell ceremony at the airport and at 9:15 he
will depart from Entebbe to Bangui, Central
African Republic for a visit that ends on 30th
November.
