Deputy Speaker of Parliament R. Hon Jacob Oulanya has suspended the debate on the Anti Tobacco Bill – 2012.
The Tobacco control bill introduces restrictions on the Manufacture, sale, labelling, promotion, advertising, distribution, and public use of tobacco products.
Proponents of the Bill including Hon. Chris Baryomunsi argue, that there is reffutabble scientific evidence showing that the use of or exposure to Tobacco debilitating illness, diseases etc.
