General David Sejusa, the former coordinator of
Intelligence Services has dragged the UPDF
Commissions/promotions board to High Court for
refusing to retire him from the military following
his application, three months ago.
In his application filed this morning before Kampala
High Court, General David Sejusa wants court to
declare that he ceased to be a UPDF officer on
April 8, 2015 when he applied to retire. In his
suit, General Sejusa explains that the refusal to
pay him his salary, withdrawal of his uniforms,
Housing and transport allowances and guns
among others, amount to ‘constructive discharge’
from UPDF. He wants court to order the UPDF
Commission and Attorney General (AG), the
second respondent to the suit to hand him his a
discharge certificate as sign that he has retired
from the army.
The Luweero bush war fighter,
who has served the military for 34 years,
wonders why many of his comrades who are of
the same 61-years of age like him have been
retired yet he has not benefited from the same
adding that he is instead treated as if he is in
military Prison.
