Government is set to table election ammendment bills that will see changes in nomination fees, polling times and permitting polling offers to vote.
This information is contained in a communication to members of parliament from the office of the Clerk to Parliament notifying them about the recall of Parliament from recess.
The Clerk Mrs Jane Kibirige said the house will today Tuesday 22 nd September 2015 consider the Presidential Elections(Amendment) Bill, 2015, the Parliamentary Elections (Amendment) Bill, 2015.
The Presidential Elections (Amendment) Bill, 2015 seeks to revise the nomination fees payable, to revise the facilitation provided for a presidential candidate, to provide for polling to close at 4:00 pm on polling day and other clauses.
