Government has unveiled a sh680m housing
project.
The project is to enable low income earners
acquire decent houses at a low cost of shs26m
per unit.
The two bed-roomed, self-contained units are
located in Bujuuko, Nansana, Wakiso district.
Ministry of lands together with the shelter and
Settlement alternative unveiled the housing
project yesterday at Media centre.
The executive director, shelter and Settlement
alternative Dorothy Baziwe says the houses are
still under construction but will be ready for
occupation in December.
The first phase of the project consisting 34 units
will be launched by the Prime Minister, Dr.
Ruhakana Rugunda next week on Tuesday as
Uganda joins the world to celebrate world
Habitat day.
Baziwe says payment of the houses can be done
in installments on a monthly basis depending on
how one earns.
