The Mayor of KawempeMubarak Munyagwa has today been released on police bond following his arrest last Saturday on allegations of corruption and abuse of office.
Munyagwa is said to have received 60m from Kakumba Francis last year whom he had promised to secure a job in KCCA Lands office which he failed to fulfill.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga says Munyagwa has been released from Kabalagala police station where he has been kept since Saturday and he is expected to return to police next week as his case is being investigated.
