NFA to evict over 600 Bugiri families from forest reserve

The National Forestry Authority has threatened to evict over 600 families that have been occupying at least 2,700 acres of forest land in Bugiri district.

The families in Bulesa sub-county encroached on the land in Igwe forest reserve 11 years ago and they have since cleared most of the forest to make way for cultivation.
