Justice and constitutional Affairs minister,
Kahinda Otafire has condemned acts by both the NRM and
Independent Presidential candidate, Amama
Mbabazi supporters following clashes in
Ntungamo over the weekend.
He says NRM supporters should desist from
provoking other political camps and urges
Mbabazi to bring his people to order as rules
have to be respected by both sides.
A scuffle ensued between supporters of the two
camps in Ntungamo as Mbabazi led a procession for his rally.
NRM enthusiasts had lined the road provoking
Mbabazi’s side. A stone was thrown at
mbabazi’s security detail and this sparked the
fighting.
NRM supporters, suspected of having thrown the
stone were beaten but police did not intervene.
