The 8 presidential candidates continue to
traverse the country in search for support ahead
of the 2016 general elections.
NRM’s Museveni will head to Yumbe ,
Koboko districts after successfully campaigning
in Arua and Maracha yesterday. In Maracha,
NRM has gained people’s support due to
infrastructure developments in the past 15 years.
The residents said opposition had much support
in the past because of the delay by government
to tarmac the roads and electricity in the sub
region, something that has now changed.
FDC’s Kizza Besigye campaigns in Kibuuku and
Palisa after holding rallies in Luuka and Kaliro
yesterday where he faulted the masses for being
poor since they don’t demand for social services
Independent Amama Mbabazi heads to Kasese
after traversing Kabarole yesterday. Mababazi
accused museveni’s camp of sabotage. This
follows the landing of a helicopter draped in Museveni’s campaign posters at the
Boma grounds where Mbabazi was to hold a
rally.
PDP’s Abed Bwanika will head to Otuke district.
Maureen Kyalya and Joseph Mabirizi will hold
rallies in Alebtong and Kole.
Prof Venansius Baryamureeba will traverse Lira.
